Fountain Court is a raised square court on the south-west side of the house. It is bordered on two sides by the State Drawing Room and the State Ballroom, both of which provide access to the Court. The fountain in the middle of the court was designed by William Wardell and made from Tasmanian sandstone. The Court is used to entertain guests at Government House receptions.
