Honours

The Office of the Governor does not handle the nominations for Australian Awards. If you would like to nominate a person for an Australian Award, you can nominate online through the Honours Secretariat, Canberra, at www.itsanhonour.gov.au.

The names of recipients are announced on Australia Day, 26 January and on The Queen's official birthday, usually the second Monday in June.

The Governor conducts the presentation of national honours and awards to Victorians twice a year. These ceremonies take place at Government House and are usually held in May and September.
