On Sunday, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a reception for the Melbourne International Fashion Festival 20th Anniversary at Government House.
On Saturday, the Governor unveiled a bust of Charles La Trobe at the Queenscliffe Historical Museum
The Governor received a call from Mr Jason Yeap OAM, Chairman, Mering Corporation and later in the morning opened the Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria's new Head Office in Richmond. The Governor also hosted a reception for the Women Barristers' Association.
The Governor hosted a reception for international school students and received a call from Lieutenant General David Morrison AO, Australian of the Year 2016. The Governor and Judge Howard also hosted a reception for the Luke Batty Foundation.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and received a call from the Hon. Matthew Guy MP, Leader of the Opposition. The Governor also toured CSL Limited in Parkville.
The Governor received a call from Mr Graeme Plumridge, new President of Melbourne Legacy and Mr Ian Harrison, outgoing President.
The Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, opened ‘Land of The Golden Fleece – Arthur Streeton In The Western District’ at the Geelong Gallery.
The Governor toured Blackmagic Design, a winner of the 2015 Premier's Design Awards; and as Patron of Zoos Victoria, visited the Royal Melbourne Zoo in Parkville. In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard as Patron, attended the Royal Melbourne Hospital Neuroscience Foundation Trustees Dinner.
The Governor received Ms Sandi de Wolf AM, CEO of Berry Street; and later, Ms Helen Kapolos, Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Commission. The Governor also toured and received a briefing from the 2Mar Robotics Team at Engineers Australia.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and received a call from Mr David Down, President of the Genealogical Society of Victoria Inc. The Governor hosted a reception for new Sir John Monash Scholars and later, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended a performance of 'Ladies in Black' at the MTC.
