The Governor received calls from Mr Graeme Kelly, Chair of EW Tipping Foundation and Ms Margot Druce, Chair of Vista; Ms Sally McLean, President of The Queen's Fund; and Mr John Harden AM, Chair and Mr Andrew Westacott, CEO of Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
The Governor toured the O'Brien Institute in Fitzroy; and attended a luncheon hosted by the National Council of Jewish Women of Australia (Vic). In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard toured the Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and received a call from Mr Don Casboult, Chair of the Moonee Valley Racing Club. The Governor hosted a luncheon for Board Members of the Australian Intercultural Society.
The Governor received Dr Christine Nixon, Chair of Monash College and Deputy Chancellor of Monash University. Later, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a reception for the 75th Anniversary of Social Work at University of Melbourne.
The Governor received The Honourable Alexander Downer AC, High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
The Governor received His Honour Peter Kidd SC, Chief Judge of the County Court of Victoria; and later hosted a reception to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Cancer Council of Victoria.
The Governor received a call from Ms Keiko Haneda, Consul General of Japan; and Mr Paul Sapountsis, President of Law Institute Victoria. Later, the Governor hosted a lunch for The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of Melbourne Robert Doyle and Councillors of City of Melbourne.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and later visited the Golden Dragon Museum in Bendigo. In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a closing reception for the 2016 MPavilion.
The Governor and Judge Howard hosted the 2016 Multi-Faith Opening of the Legal Year. In the evening Judge Howard visited and toured the Traveller's Aid facility at Southern Cross Station.
The Governor and Judge Howard attended the 2016 Australian Open Men's Final.
