The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, before holding a reception for Melbourne Festival artists at Government House.

The Governor then recorded a message for the 2017 Gathering of Kindness.

The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, welcomed participants of the Government House Peace and Prosperity Kitchen Garden project, and then conducted a ministerial Swearing-In Ceremony for Mr Ben Carroll MP, appointed as Minister for Industry and Employment, the Hon. Philip Dalidakis MP, appointed as Minister for Trade and Investment, Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy and Minister for Small Business, the Hon. Jenny Mikakos MP, appointed as Minister for Early Childhood Education and the Hon. Tim Pallas MP, appointed as Minister for Resources.

The Governor then hosted the 2017 Governor's Export Awards.

The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, received the call of His Excellency, Mr Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland, and Mrs Sabina Higgins, before hosting a State Luncheon in their honour.

The Governor and Mr Howard then hosted the 2017 St John Ambulance Parade and Awards.

The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC attended the Breast Cancer Network Australia Pink Lady Lunch, before the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, opened the Melton Botanic Gardens.

The Governor and Mr Howard then attended the official portrait unveiling of His Honour Michael Rozenes AO, QC.

Squadron Leader Leonie Auld represented the Governor at the arrival of HE The President of Ireland and Mrs Higgins.

Mr Howard hosted a reception at Government House for the 40th Anniversary of Mind Australia.
