Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor hosted a reception for the Mac.Robertson Girls High School; and attended the State Government luncheon to commemorate Anzac Day. In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard attended the RSL reception to mark the 101st Anniversary of Anzac Day.
The Governor received Mr Julian McMahon, 2016 Victorian Australian of the Year; and Ms Jenny Bloomfield, State Director of Victoria, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Later, the Governor and Judge Howard welcomed HE Mr Sumio Kusaka, Ambassador of Japan and Mrs Ikuko Kusaka to Government House and hosted a dinner in their honour.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and later invested Mr Simon McKeon AO as Chancellor of Monash University in Clayton.
The Governor and Judge Howard attended the Annual ANZAC Commemoration Service at St Paul's Cathedral.
The Governor and Judge Howard participated in the Wyndham Relay for Life at Werribee.
The Governor presided at an Investiture for the Australia Day 2016 Honours and Awards; and also presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
The Governor toured the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre in Seymour; and in the evening, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended the CSL Centenary Gala Dinner.
The Governor presided at an Investiture for the Australia Day 2016 Honours and Awards; and received a call from His Excellency Mr Manuel Cacho, Ambassador of Spain.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and received a call from Mr Martin Bean CBE, Vice-Chancellor of RMIT University. In the afternoon, the Governor toured the Australian Tapestry Workshop in St Kilda.
The Governor accompanied by Judge Howard, attended the Melbourne Victory vs Brisbane Roar match at AAMI Park.
