Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor hosted a luncheon for National Galley of Victoria visiting dignitaries for the 2016 Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition Degas: A New Vision.
The Governor presided over a swearing in ceremony at Government House and in the evening, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended and delivered the keynote speech at the Victorian Parliament Iftar Dinner.
The Governor and Judge Howard concluded their official visit to Hong Kong and China and departed Hong Kong for Melbourne. In the evening the Governor and Judge Howard attended the Prime Minister's 9th Olympic Dinner 2016.
The Governor and Judge Howard continued their official visit to China. The Governor and Judge Howard toured the Panda Research and Breeding Base before hosting a morning tea for Victorian Students studying in Chengdu. The Governor and Judge Howard then attended a lunch hosted by Ms Nancy Gordon, Consult-General to Sichuan. The Governor and Judge Howard departed Chengdu for Hong Kong.
The Governor and Judge Howard continued their official visit to China. The Governor and Judge Howard visited the Dujiangyan Irrigation System UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site and visited the Planning Exhibition Hall. The Governor met with Ms Nancy Gordon, Consul-General to Chengdu. The Governor and Judge Howard attended a lunch hosted in their honour by the Governor of the Sichuan Province.
The Governor and Judge Howard continued their official visit to China. The Governor and Judge Howard visited Caulfield Grammar School, Nanjing Campus and then hosted a lunch for Jiangsu Alumni. The Governor and Judge Howard later visited the Nanjing City Wall, hosted by the Jiangsu Foreign Affairs Office. They then departed Nanjing for Chengdu.
The Governor and Judge Howard departed Beijing for Nanjing. In the evening, they met with the Party-Secretary of Jiangsu before attending a dinner hosted by the Governor of Jiangsu Province.
The Governor and Judge Howard continued their official visit to China. The Governor and Judge Howard met with MrZhou Wenzhong, Secretary General of the BOAO Forum for Asia, and Executive of the BOAO Forum for Asia. The Governor and Judge Howard then met with Ms Jan Adams, Australian Ambassador to China, before attending a luncheon hosted by Ms Adams in the Governor’s honour. In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a dinner for representatives of the Chinese Education sector for Victoria Beijing Higher Education night.
The Governor and Judge Howard departed Hong Kong for their official visit to China. The Governor and Judge Howard visited the Red Sandalwood Museum, Beijing.
The Governor and Judge Howard continued their official visit to Hong Kong and met with Mr Terence Yap, Swinburne Alumni, Hong Kong Institute of Directors Fellow and CEO Guardforce Group.
