On 27 July 2024, Government House Victoria invites you to join us for our July Open Day as part of the Open House Melbourne Weekend.
Guests once again have the opportunity to explore the historic State Apartments with a self-guided tour of one of Victoria’s most iconic buildings.
The theme of Open House Melbourne 2024 is to RE/DISCOVER your city. In this spirit of uncovering something new, we’ve sourced some original architectural drawings of Government House to offer a new perspective on this building.
Visitors will have the chance to learn more about the original design of the House and how it has changed over time.
The Open Day will also feature musical performances and historical furniture displays courtesy of the Johnston Collection.
Entry is free, with gates opening at 9:30am and last entry to the House at 3:30pm. Please note that Government House Victoria is only open on Saturday 27 July.
