The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, receives the call of representatives from Hayden's Helping Hands before, with Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, welcoming His Excellency the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley, to Government House Victoria.

Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted the annual Cup Eve Reception.

Later, the Governor and Mr Howard attended the Victoria Racing Club Chairman's Dinner.

The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, received the call of Professor Ann Nicholson, Honorary Secretary of the Victorian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee before hosting the Rhodes Scholarship panel meetings.

Later, the Governor hosted a lunch for Rhodes Scholarship Selection Panel Members and Candidates, before hosting the final selection panel meeting for the Rhodes Scholarship Committee, and then announcing the results to the candidates.

The Governor then, with Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, hosted a reception to publicly announce the 2020 Rhodes Scholarship.
