Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC attended the Carbine Club Annual Dinner.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, met with the Premier, the Hon. Daniel Andrews, before, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, presiding over the swearing-in of Justice Terry Forrest and Justice Karin Emerton as Judges of the Court of Appeal, Ms Lesley Taylor QC, Mr Steven Moore QC and Mr Andrew Tinney SC as Judges of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, received the call of Mr Justin Mohamed, Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC visited the Yarra Valley, where they toured the award winning Melbourne Gin Company and Gembrook Hill vineyard and the Coombe Yarra Valley Melba Estate, the former home of Victorian opera singer Dame Nellie Melba GBE.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council before, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosting a morning tea for Australia India Institute Alumni.
The Governor and Mr Howard then hosted a performance of Orchestra Victoria Brass Ensemble as part of the Governor's Performance Series.
