The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, opened the Melbourne Girls' Grammar Artemis Centre at Melbourne Girls' Grammar, before the Governor hosted the 2017 Victorian Landcare Awards at Government House.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC attended the State Memorial Service for the Honourable Fiona Richardson MP. The Governor and Mr Howard visited the Aardman & Code Breakers Exhibitions at ACMI, before the Governor received the call of Ms Manika Jain, Consul-General of India. The Governor and Mr Howard then hosted a reception for the Victoria Law Foundation.
The Governor an Mr Anthony Howard QC visited the RAAF Base and Museum in Point Cook before the Governor presided over an Investiture for Mr Michael Collins Persse MVO, OAM in Geelong.
The Governor and Mr Howard visited the City of Greater Dandenong where they met with the Mayor and members of the Indian Precinct Taskforce, before visiting Little India, the Indian Cultural Precinct in Dandenong.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council before visiting the RACV City Club.
The Governor received Mr Tony Bates PSM, Deputy Secretary, Governance Policy and Coordination, DPC, before the Governor, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a reception 'Celebrating the West' at Government House.
The Governor then addressed the Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Dinner at Parliament House.
The Governor received Ms Jenny Bloomfield, State Director, DFAT then, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, spoke at the Francine McNiff Bequest at the Monash Law Chambers.
Mr Howard conducted a tour of the State Apartments with members of the U3A Moorabbin Moreland.
The Governor and Mr Howard attended a service for the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Kokoda at the Shrine of Remembrance.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC toured Latrobe Valley Enterprises, West Gippsland Performing Arts Centre and Gippsland Jersey Farm. The Governor presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC toured the Latrobe Regional Gallery, then visited the E. W. Tipping Foundation Day Centre, Morwell.
The Governor laid a wreath at the Morwell Cenotaph and, with Mr Howard, met with members of the Morwell RSL, before they hosted a round table discussion with students from the Latrobe Valley.
The Governor and Mr Howard met with players of the Traralgon Football Netball Club then attended a dinner hosted by the Mayor and Councillors of Latrobe City Council.
During a visit to the Latrobe Valley, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC visited the town centres of Moe and Newborough, and then hosted a round table discussion with local business leaders.
The Governor received the call of Ms Karen Cain, CEO, Latrobe Valley Authority and then Mr Bryce Ives, Director, Gippsland Centre for Art and Design.
Mr Howard visited the VACCA Kurnai Youth Homelessness Centre, Morwell, and met with local Victoria Police members at Morwell Station.
The Governor and Mr Howard then attended a reception with Latrobe Women in Business.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, then opened the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society 30th Anniversary Symposium.
During a regional tour to the Latrobe Valley, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC visited the Morwell Centenary Rose Garden and the Latrobe City Council Office, before the Governor facilitated a health round table discussion with community members at the Latrobe Regional Hospital.
The Governor and Mr Howard then hosted a reception for members of the Latrobe Valley Community.
