The Governor and Mr Howard continued their visit to East Gippsland Shire including a tour of Patties Foods and a visit to the Krowathunkooloong Keeping Place where they met with local Elders. Later, they toured Fennings Automated Saw Mill and Noweyung where they gave an interview on Yackety Yak radio. They then paid respects at the Bairnsdale Cenotaph and met with volunteers as part of restoration works at St Mary's Catholic Church. In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard spoke at Eagle Point Primary School assembly. They also met with local community groups on a local ferry service. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard attended a civic reception in Lakes Entrance.
The Governor presided over a meeting of the Executive Council before hosting a morning tea with participants of the Peace and Prosperity Garden. The Governor departed Government House for an official visit to East Gippsland and Wellington Shires. The Governor met with the Mayor and CEO of East Gippsland Shire and toured the Buchan Caves. In the evening, the Governor attended a dinner hosted the Mayor and Councillors of the East Gippsland Shire. Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a lunch for participants of the Peace and Prosperity Garden and later, hosted a school tour for Shelford Girls' Grammar Year 10 & 11 Legal Studies students, before departing for East Gippsland and Wellington Shires.

The Governor received the call of the Hon Shi Taifeng, Governor of Jiangsu Province, The People's Republic of China, and, together with Mr Anthony Howard, QC hosted a luncheon in his honour. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the 2017 Formula One Grand Prix.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, toured the Alfred Hospital. Later the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, delivered her "Love Letter to Footy" at a lunch for Australian Prostrate Cancer Research. The Right Honourable Dame Sian Elias GNZM QC, Chief Justice of New Zealand called on the Governor. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard accompanied by Dame Sian, attended the Gala Opening of the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council and later, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a Reception for scholars from the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust. In the afternoon, the Governor accompanied by Mr Howard, delivered a public lecture at the University of Melbourne and launched the Melbourne Law School Honour Boards.
Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted the Lead Design Project students from various Victorian universities on a tour of Government House. The Governor and Mr Howard hosted a dinner to mark the retirement of Major General David McLachlan AO (Retd) as State President, RSL (Vic Branch) and Mrs Louise McLachlan.
The Governor received the call of the Speaker, the Hon Colin Brooks MP. Later the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, unveiled the original foundation stone of Sir Dallas Brooks Hall, on the 50th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a luncheon for first official AFL match in China. In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, installed Mr Allan Myers AC QC as the 22nd Chancellor of the University of Melbourne.
