The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, attended and gave an address at the Vietnam Veterans’ Day commemoration at the Shrine of Remembrance.
Later, the Governor received the call of Hal Hallenstein, former State Coroner of Victoria.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, attended and spoke at a lunch for the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC received the call of Virginia Burke OStJ, Former Chair and Director, and Mr Mark Engel MStJ, Chair of St John Ambulance Victoria. As Dame and Deputy Prior of the Order of St John, the Governor, with Mr Howard, then hosted the Order of St John Investiture ceremony at Government House.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council; and then welcomed students participating in the Scarecrow Program.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, received the call of Launa Inman, Chair, and Caroline Ralphsmith, CEO, of the Melbourne Fashion Festival.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC attended the opening night performance of Hairspray.
Earlier, Mr Howard conducted a tour of the State Apartments for Peace & Prosperity Kitchen Garden Program participants.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, attended and gave an address at the Indian Film Festival Melbourne Awards Night.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, welcomed participants of the Peace & Prosperity Kitchen Garden program from Ukraine; and later Mr Anthony Howard AM QC led a tour with the cohort.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, attended and gave an address at the Victorian Startup Gala, hosted by LaunchVic.
While on an Official Visit to the United Kingdom, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC met with Mr Andy Street CBE, Mayor of the West Midlands; and attended the mixed synchronised 10-meter platform diving final at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
In the evening, the Governor attended the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony and as Victoria’s Chief Citizen, received the Commonwealth Games Flag during the Flag Handover Ceremony.
While on an Official Visit to the United Kingdom, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC met with representatives from the Organising Committee of the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham; and then met with the Victorian Traditional Owners participating in the Victoria 2026 handover ceremony at the Closing Ceremony.
Later, the Governor met with Dame Louise Martin DBE, President of the Commonwealth Games Federation; and hosted and delivered an address at a reception for the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games as Chief Citizen.
In the evening, the Governor attended the netball final at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
While on an Official Visit to the United Kingdom, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, attended & Juliet, and met with the production company representatives and cast.
