A list of Victorian Governors.
Body
Charles La Trobe was appointed Superintendent of Port Phillip District on 3 October 1839. He remained in that position until his appointment as Lieutenant-Governor of the new Colony of Victoria on 1 July 1851. La Trobe was never Governor of Victoria, as that office was not established until 1855.
The first Governor of Victoria was Charles Hotham, who was Lieutenant-Governor from 22 June 1854 to 21 May 1855, before becoming Governor.
