Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC attended the Penfolds Victoria Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC hosted the Graduation Ceremony for the McKinnon Institute for Political Leadership, followed by a tour of the State Apartments conducted by Mr Howard.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Professor Ann Nicholson, Honorary Secretary, Victorian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee before hosting a meeting of the Victorian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee.
Later, the Governor hosted a lunch for the Victorian Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee and Candidates, before hosting the final interviews and announcing the results to candidates.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC attended the VRC Chairman’s Dinner at Flemington Racecourse.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, met with the Mini-Governor, as part of the Mini-Governor program.
The Governor and Mr Howard then hosted the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards for 2021 and 2022; and with the Mini-Governor, visited the National Institute of Circus Arts.
Later, the Governor, accompanied by the Mini-Governor, received the call of Charliese Allen, the Young Archie Winner for 2021.
Earlier, Mr Howard received the call of Campbell Thomson and Guy Gilbert KC, International Commission of Jurists Victoria, and Run Saray, Executive Director of Cambodian Legal Aid.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council; and then, with Mr Anthony Howard AM KC, received the virtual call of Rick Salisbury, Director, and Michael Dunn, Operations Manager, Rapid Relief Team.
Later, the Governor met with Tony Ellwood AM, Director, National Gallery of Victoria.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted the 2022 Multicultural Awards for Excellence; and attended the Victorian Bar Commemorative Dinner for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Earlier, Mr Howard conducted a tour of the State Apartments for Victorian Government Graduates from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC received the virtual call of Glenn Ludeman, Warrant Officer 2, 8th / 7th Battalion, Royal Victorian Regiment.
The Governor then presided over a virtual Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony with His Excellency Ridwan Kamil, Governor of West Java.
Later, the Governor and Mr Howard received the virtual call of Anastasia Bougesis, Head, Government relations and Operations Team Lead, and Luke Skinner, Theatre Commander, Disaster Relief Australia.
Earlier, Mr Howard conducted a tour of the State Apartments for Kitchen Garden Program Term 4 Participants.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC attended the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, India vs Pakistan, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, visited the Emergency Management Victoria State Control Centre.
Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Official Welcome Reception; and later a dinner for Dr Eyal Zimlichman of the Sheba Medical Centre.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, hosted a morning tea for Trust for Nature.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council; and then received the call of Alex Zaccaria, Co-Founder and CEO, Anthony Zaccaria, Co-Founder, and Nick Humphreys, Co-Founder of Linktree.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM KC later attended the State Funeral Service for Uncle Jack Charles.
