Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Administrator met with Tim Ada, Deputy Secretary, Sector Development, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, and Rob Holland, Executive Director, Economic Development and International, Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Later, the Administrator and Mr Howard visited the HMAS Hobart.
In the evening, the Administrator and Mr Howard attended a Ramadan Iftar Dinner hosted by Youth Activating Youth.
The Governor accompanied by Mr Howard, attended the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance, where she spoke before laying a wreath on behalf of all Victorians.
Following the Dawn Service, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted an ANZAC Day breakfast, before attending the ANZAC Day March, in which the Governor led the Official Party.
In the afternoon, the Governor assumed the role of Administrator of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Later, the Administrator and Mr Howard attended the ANZAC Day Football game between Essendon Football Club and Collingwood Football Club at the MCG.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, was represented at the State Memorial Service for the Hon Ronald William Walsh by Superintendent Wayne Newman, of Victoria Police.
While on a Regional Visit to Shepparton, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, visited the Kaiela Institute, before visiting the Rumbalara Football Netball Club.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Howard met with Paul Briggs AM, Executive Chair of the Kaiela Institute, and Kaye Briggs, and later visited the Shepparton Art Museum.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard AM QC hosted a community dinner.
The Governor was represented at the State Memorial Service for the Hon Tom Reynolds by Sub Lieutenant Samuel Spooner ADC RAN.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, received the call of the Hon Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria, before receiving the call of Her Excellency Ms Vicki Treadell, UK High Commissioner to Australia.
In the afternoon, the Governor hosted a Special Meeting of the Executive Council.
Following the Special Meeting of the Victorian Executive Council meeting, the Governor issued the Writ for the election of Senators for Victoria in the 2022 Federal Election. After, she received the call of Mr Nye Coffey, Australian Electoral Officer and State Manager, Tasmania and Victoria, Australian Electoral Commission.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, attended Day 1 of the 2022 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception to mark the beginning of the 2022 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, and later, hosted a dinner for the 2022 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, was represented at the 90th Legacy ANZAC Commemoration Ceremony for Students at the Shrine by Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Strack, where a recorded address by the Governor was broadcast to assembled students.
In the evening, the Governor hosted a reception to mark the 50th anniversary of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Australia.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council, before receiving the call of Mr Nigel Warren, Victorian Commissioner to the Americas.
Later, the Governor received the call of Ms Caroline Edwards, Victorian Commissioner to the Americas.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, was represented at the State Memorial Service for Mr Shane Warne by Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Strack, Honorary Aide-de-Camp of the Governor of Victoria.
