Governor's Program

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, hosted the Treaty and First Peoples Morning Tea.

Then, the Governor attended a tour of the Melbourne Holocaust Museum.

Later, the Governor hosted a dinner in honour of Sir Geoff Mulgan CBE, Professor of Collective Intelligence, Public Policy and Social Innovation at the University College of London.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Then, the Governor received the call of the Honourable Maxine McKew AM, Honorary Fellow of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, and Emeritus Professor Peter McPhee AM, Chair of the History Council of Victoria.

Later, the Governor hosted the 2023 Volunteering Awards.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the virtual call of Cr Bob Sanders, Mayor of Ararat Rural City Council and Dr Tim Harrison, CEO of Ararat Rural City Council.

Then, the Governor received the report of the Board of Inquiry into Historical Child Sexual Abuse in Beaumaris Primary School and Certain Other Government Schools from the Chair, Kathleen Foley SC.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, hosted a lunch for Her Excellency Caroline Kennedy, Ambassador of the United States of America.

Then, the Governor hosted the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival Reception.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received the call of Adel Salman, President, and Sarah Baarini, Board Member of the Islamic Council of Victoria.

Then, the Governor attended a tour of the Islamic Museum of Australia.

Later, the Governor and Professor Glyn Davis AC, attended the 2023 Kenneth Myer Lecture.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, hosted a judicial swearing-in for Judges and Judges of Appeal of the Supreme Court.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, provided Royal Assent before presiding at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Then, the Governor welcomed participants of the Kitchen Garden Program to Government House.

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Philip Zajac, President of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria.

While on a regional tour, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum.

Then, the Governor laid a wreath at the Warrnambool Soldier’s Memorial before attending a tour of the Warrnambool Returned & Services League Veterans Support Centre.

Following this, the Governor concluded the regional tour.

While on a regional tour, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, received a briefing from the Warrnambool City Council. 

Then, the Governor toured South West TAFE.

Following this, the Governor visit Woodford Primary School for their 170th anniversary celebration.

In the afternoon, the Governor visited Deakin University’s Warrnambool Campus.

After this, the Governor toured the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club. 

Later, the Governor visited the Warrnambool Art Gallery.

In the evening, the Governor attended and spoke at a Civic Reception hosted by the Warrnambool City Council.

While on a Regional Tour, the Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the Hopkins Correctional Centre.

Then, the Governor travelled to Moyne Shire and received a briefing from the Moyne Shire Council.

Following this, the Governor attended a roundtable with business and community leaders.
