Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. The Governor received the call of His Excellency Mr Janos Ader, President of Hungary. The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, gave the keynote address at the Dunera Association Annual Luncheon. The Governor received the call of Dr Alan Finkel AO, Chief Scientist of Australia. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
The Governor received the call of Mr Mohamed Fakhry, Consul-General of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Mr Anthony Howard QC, received a group participating in the University of Melbourne Social Equity Program.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, opened the NET Cancer Patient Symposium at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted the Investiture Ceremony of the Order of Australia Bravery Decorations.
The Governor received a delegation from the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress. The Governor received the call of Ms Fiona McCormack, Chief Executive Officer, Domestic Violence Victoria. Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC, visited the Swedish Church at Toorak House.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council at the Old Treasury Building. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC toured the Biomedical Breakthroughs Exhibition at the Melbourne Museum.
The Governor and Mr Howard attended the 2016 Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse.
The Governor received the call of Mr Angus Trumble, Director, National Portrait Gallery. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC received His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of Australia, and Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted the VRC Cup Eve Reception.
The Governor and Mr Howard attended the 2016 AAMI Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse.
The Governor received the call of Rabbi Dovid Rubinfeld, Chief Minister, Melbourne Hebrew Congregation. The Governor attended the Carbine Club Derby Day Luncheon and later, received Her Excellency Mrs Menna Rawlings CMG, British High Commissioner to Australia.
