Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a morning tea for the Sir John Monash Scholars.
The Governor received a call from the Judges of the Family Court of Australia. Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC volunteered at the Collingwood Children's Farm. The Governor and Mr Howard then hosted an Austrade Luncheon for Industry 4.0.
The Governor received the call of Mr Peter Hitchener, OAM and later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC received the call of Ms Annie Smithers, chef and owner of du Fermier, Hepburn Shire, Ms Susan Thompson and Mr Tim Pilgrim. In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted an Investiture for the Order of St John.
The Governor presided at a meeting of Executive Council. Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a morning tea for the Royal Historical Society of Victoria. In the evening the Governor and Mr Howard attended a dinner to celebrate the establishment of Science Gallery, Melbourne.
Mr Anthony Howard QC met with Victorian Public Service Officers and led a tour of the State Apartments.
The Governor visited the Pioneer Settlement, Swan Hill, toured the Catalina Flying Boat Museum at Lake Boga and then went onto visit Kilter Rural.
The Governor met the Mayor and Councillors of the Rural City of Swan Hill at the Robinswood Historic Homestead, Robinvale and then visited Select Harvest, Wemen and later visited the Robinvale P12 College. The Governor toured local business Andrew Peace Wines, visited the Swan Hill Neighbourhood House, attended a Civic Reception at the Town Hall and then visited Heartbeat of the Murray, a water, sound, light and laser exhibition. In the evening, the Governor attended a dinner hosted by the Mayor.
The Governor continued an Official Visit to the Rural City of Mildura with a visit to the Flo Connect education facility, the Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council and the Mildura Eco Village sustainable living site. The Governor was guest of honour at a civic reception with community members on board the Paddlesteamer Mundoo. The Governor also toured the Sunraysia Residential Services Benetook Farm and Murray River Salt/Mildura Chocolate Company before a walking tour of the riverfront. The Governor was represented at the State Funeral for Mr Lou Richards MBE by Major General David McLachlan AO (Retd), Aide Laureate to the Governor.
The Governor presided at a meeting of Executive Council and then travelled to Mildura.
The Governor received the call of the Honourable Colin Brooks MP, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, and then received the call of Mr Tony Ellwood, Director, and Mr Simon Maidment, Senior Curator, National Gallery of Victoria. Later, Ms Kirsten Mander, Chair, and Ms Joanna Hayter, CEO, of IWD Agency called on the Governor. The Governor met Term 2 participants of the Peace and Prosperity Garden Program and in the evening the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a Reception to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
