The Administrator, Justice Maxwell, presided at a meeting of Executive Council, and later hosted an Australian Citizenship Ceremony at Government House.

The Governor departed Victoria for an official visit to the United Kingdom and the Western Front.

The Governor received the call of Mr Scott Tanner, Chair, and Ms Martine Letts, CEO, Committee for Melbourne.  In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a reception to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the National Ageing Research Institute.

The Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, officially opened the Carey Grammar School Centre for Learning and Innovation.

The Governor and Judge Howard welcomed members of the community to Open House at Government House and in the evening attended the Wesley College Sesquicentenary Gala Dinner.

The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. Judge Howard, as Patron, attended the official opening of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital's new facility "Eye and Ear on the Park" in East Melbourne, and later hosted a reception to celebrate the 100 th anniversary of Travellers Aid. The Governor conducted an Investiture at Government House. In the evening, the Governor and Judge Howard attended the State Reception to congratulate the 2016 Australian Olympic Team in Southbank.

The Governor received the call of Ms Jerril Rechter, CEO of VicHealth.

The Governor received the call of Her Excellency Ms Ekaterini Xagorari, Greek Ambassador to Australia.

The Governor visited Beleura House and Garden at Mornington and unveiled a plaque commemorating the 100th anniversary of Beleura. Later, the Governor toured Point Nepean National Park, including the Quarantine Station and Harold Holt Memorial.

The Governor volunteered at Vision Australia Radio. The Governor and Judge Howard attended the Melbourne Day Luncheon at which the Governor presented the Lord Mayor's Oration. Judge Howard hosted afternoon tea for a visiting delegation of lawyers from China's Jiangsu province.
