The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC laid flowers at the Memorial for victims of the Bourke Street tragedy and signed the condolence book. Later, the Governor spoke at the Vigil at Federation Square. In the evening, The Governor and Mr Howard hosted the Australia Day Reception
The Governor received the call of His Excellency Mr Nadjib Riphat Kesoema, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Australia, and Mrs Nino Nadjip Riphat.
The Governor received the call of Mr John Harnden AM, Chair, and Mr Andrew Westacott, CEO, of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, and later attended the official Australia Day luncheon.
The Governor visited Lady Somers Camp.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, and later, received the call of the Honourable Matthew Guy MP, Leader of the Opposition.
The Governor filmed an interview for the Victorian Parliament website.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted Christmas lunch for volunteers. Later, the Governor delivered the keynote address at the Mont Albert Primary School Grade 6 Graduation Ceremony.
The Governor received the call of the Honourable Richard Court AC, Ambassador-Designate to Japan, followed by the call of Ms Anthea Hancocks, Chief Executive Officer, Scanlon Foundation. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for the 10th Anniversary of the Red Dust Role Models, and later, received a delegation from Hainan Airlines Group.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, and later delivered the occasional address at the University of Melbourne Science Faculty Graduate Conferring of Degree Ceremony.
The Governor received the call of the Honourable Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria, followed by the call of Mr Robert Winther, Shrine of Remembrance Medal recipient 2016.
