Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor hosted a graduation ceremony for the Muslim Women's Legal Training Program and Legal Workshops for Imams series of the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre. Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for the Announcement of the Victorian Australian of the Year.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted the Royal Humane Society of Australasia Bravery Awards. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard attended the Shrine of Remembrance Annual Dinner.
The Governor visited Valkstone Primary School and spoke at their assembly. The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, opened the Wesley College 'Learning in Residence' precinct at the Glen Waverley Campus. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the 7th Australia-China Training Initiative in Neurology program.
On Friday, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony, laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Victoria, and delivered the Remembrance Day address at the Shrine of Remembrance. They later visited the Bayswater RSL for Remembrance Day, where the Governor laid a wreath.
The Governor participated in the 'Principal for a day' program at Nossal High School. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted a reception for Social Ventures Australia.
The Governor visited the Archibald Prize Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ballarat. Later, the Governor swore in Ms Gayle Tierney MP, as the Minister for Training and Skills and Minister for Corrections.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. The Governor received the call of His Excellency Mr Janos Ader, President of Hungary. The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, gave the keynote address at the Dunera Association Annual Luncheon. The Governor received the call of Dr Alan Finkel AO, Chief Scientist of Australia. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
The Governor received the call of Mr Mohamed Fakhry, Consul-General of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Mr Anthony Howard QC, received a group participating in the University of Melbourne Social Equity Program.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Howard, opened the NET Cancer Patient Symposium at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted the Investiture Ceremony of the Order of Australia Bravery Decorations.
