The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. On the occasion of International Women's Day 2016, the Governor addressed Pascoe Vale Girls College students and attended a meeting of The Queen's Fund at Melbourne Town Hall. She then hosted an Afternoon Tea at Government House; and in the evening accompanied by Judge Howard, delivered the keynote address at the Institute of Public Administration Australia Victoria Annual International Women's Day Gala Dinner.

The Governor received a call from Mr Jason Yeap OAM, Chairman, Mering Corporation and later in the morning opened the Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria's new Head Office in Richmond. The Governor also hosted a reception for the Women Barristers' Association.
