In the morning, the Governor and Mr Howard visited the Consulate-General of the United Arab Emirates to sign the condolence book following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayad Al Nahyan, former President of the UAE.
Later, the Governor and Mr Howard travelled to Canberra, and the Governor assumed the role of Administrator of the Commonwealth.
In the afternoon, the Administrator received the call of Michael Goldman, Charge d'Affaires of the United States Embassy, before, with Mr Howard, visiting the National Portrait Gallery.
In the evening, the Administrator and Mr Howard hosted a reception for the Order of Australia Association at Government House Canberra.
While on an Official Visit to the Glenelg Shire, the Administrator and Mr Howard visited Southern Canning Pty Ltd, before visiting the Port of Portland.
