While on an Official Visit to Japan, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Adam Cunneen, Victoria’s Commissioner for North Asia; and later met with Takashi Horie, Chief Executive Officer, Masatuki Moroi, Director, and Yoshihiro Sumida, Director, Mitsubishi Corporation.
In the evening, the Governor attended and gave an address at the Australia-Japan Business Cooperation Committee (AJBCC) Conference Dinner.
While on an Official Visit to Scotland, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Tim Dillon, Victoria’s Agent-General to the UK and Commissioner for Europe.
While on an Official Visit to Scotland, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Joel Spark, General Manager, Space Services at Spire; and Ivan McKee MSP, Scottish Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise in Glasgow.
The Governor later met with Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, Glasgow Lord Provost; and then toured the Clyde Gateway regeneration project.
While on an Official Visit to Scotland, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, hosted a roundtable on the Scottish technology sector; and met with representatives from SSE Renewables.
The Governor then attended a creative industries meeting with leaders of Edinburgh festivals and creative organisations; and later met with Michael Matheson MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero Energy and Transport in Edinburgh; and Jon Dobson, Chief Financial Officer of Flotation Energy.
In the evening, the Governor attended an event with Scottish universities, current students, and Victorian alumni.
While on an Official Visit to Scotland, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with His Majesty King Charles III.
Later, the Governor visited Hopetoun House and met with Lord Hopetoun.
While on an Official Visit to Italy, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Ranasinghe Shalendra, Chief Commercial APAC and Middle East, and Paolo Romiti, Domestic and International Business Development, of WeBuild.
The Governor then met with Antoni Rossi, Undersecretary to the Presidency for Sport, from Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, Winter Olympics Organising Committee; and Robert Macchiavello, Head of Region Oceania, Helicopter Division, Leonardo.
Later, the Governor hosted a lunch with Victorian stakeholders and alumni, and then met with Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan.
In the afternoon, the Governor met with Attilio Fontana, President of Lombardy; and then attended a signing ceremony for the Victoria-Lombardy Memorandum of Understanding.
While on an Official Visit to Italy, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Lou Farinotti, the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Melbourne.
While on an Official Visit to Italy, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, visited the Milan Innovation District and met with Alan Bates, Executive General Manager, Development Operations, Italy; Stefano Minini, Project Director, MIND; and Nadia Boschi, Head of Sustainability Italy & Continental Europe.
The Governor then toured the Leonardo Helicopter Division Headquarters and met with Robert Macchiavello, Head of Region Oceania, Helicopter Division.
Later, the Governor toured the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) European Training Centre (ETC) and met with Warwick Forbes OAM, Head of AIS Europe and Director of ETC.
While on an Official Visit to Italy, the Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Naïla Mazzucco, Australia’s Consul General in Milan and Trade Commissioner for Italy.
The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, met with Dame Louise Martin DBE, President of the Commonwealth Games Federation.
Then, the Governor attended the National Police Remembrance Day march and service.
The Governor later departed Melbourne for an Official Visit to Italy, Scotland and Japan.
