The Governor, the Hon Linda Dessau AC, presided over a meeting of the Executive Council before, with Mr Anthony Howard AM QC, hosted an investiture ceremony for recipients of the 2021 Australia Day Order of Australia Awards.
Later, the Governor and Mr Howard visited GreyScan Detections.

While visiting the Surf Coast Shire, the Governor and Mr Howard visited the Australian Wool Museum, before laying a wreath at the Point Danger ANZAC War Memorial. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard received a briefing by the Surf Coast Shire Council, and a briefing on the CORA sports precinct development, before attending a roundtable with community members and representatives of local organisations.
Later, the Governor and Mr Howard visited local surf shops, and received a briefing on the surf industry.
