The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, met with Dominic Richards OAM, Board Trustee, The King's Trust Australia, Justin Hewitt, Executive Director and Director for Sustainable Communities, The King's Trust Australia, and Joshua Puls MVO, Deputy Secretary of Justice and Public Administration, Department of Premier and Cabinet. 

In the afternoon, the Governor met with Rob Holland, Executive Director, Economic Development and International, Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the State Control Centre, East Melbourne, where she received a high-risk weather season briefing from Rick Nugent APM, Emergency Management Commissioner, Allyson Lardner, Acting Deputy Commissioner, and John Felton, Assistant Commissioner, Emergency Management Victoria. 

Following the briefing, the Governor toured the State Control Centre where she spoke with staff from Emergency Management Victoria and the Bureau of Meteorology. 

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of The Right Honourable Lord Marland, Chairman, and Rashida Munnaverali, Strategic Partnerships Manager, Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council. 

The Governor, as Patron, received the call of Scott Tanner, Chair, Committee for Melbourne. 

Later, the Governor met with Josh Puls MVO, Deputy Secretary, Justice and Public Administration, Department of Premier and Cabinet. 

In the morning at Government House, members from Murtoa Probus Group visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Then, the Governor visited the Swedish Church at the historic Toorak House, where Her Excellency received a briefing from Reverend Katja Lin, followed by a tour of the house and grounds.   

Later, the Governor received the call of Professor Gary Foley, Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit, Victoria University. 

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Professor Diane Kirkby, Emeritus Professor of Archaeology, La Trobe University. 

In the evening, the Governor received the call of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople and New Rome, and His Eminence Archbishop Makarios, Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church of Australia. 

Following the call, the Governor hosted a reception in honour of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Victoria’s Greek community, where she gave an address to formally welcome the Patriarch to Victoria. 

Following the reception, the Governor met with the Honourable Jacinta Allan MP, Premier of Victoria.

In the afternoon, members of the public visited for a guided twilight tour of the gardens.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited the Krueger Transport Equipment offices in Derrimut and Truganina, where she received a briefing from Kevin Dennis, CEO. Following the briefing the Governor toured the Krueger Centre of Excellence and manufacturing facility where she met with employees. Then, the Governor was hosted at a morning tea where she met with John Krueger, Founding Owner, Krueger Transport Equipment and the Executive Leadership Team. 

Later, the Governor received the welcome call of His Excellency Mr Andrew Needs, High Commissioner for New Zealand, and Bella Katz, Consul-General and Trade Commissioner of New Zealand. 

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Lynda McAlary-Smith, Victorian Small Business Commissioner. 

In the evening, the Governor, as Patron, hosted a reception for the 150th Anniversary of the Royal Humane Society, where she gave an address to mark the occasion.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, as Patron, visited the Country Women’s Association of Victoria headquarters, Toorak, where she received a briefing from Jennifer Nola, State President, Marie Vassallo, State Treasurer and other Board Members. Following the briefing, the Governor toured the CWA homestead, ‘Umina’, and met with CWA staff and volunteers over morning tea.

Later, the Governor hosted a roundtable lunch with leading industry experts from the mental health sector to mark National Mental Health Month.  

In the afternoon, the Governor, as Patron, received the call of David McNamara, CEO, Foodbank Victoria.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

Later, the Governor visited the State Library Victoria where she met with Christine Christian AO, President, and Paul Duldig, CEO. The Governor toured the Searching for Sanctuary, World of Book and Melbourne Out Loud exhibitions, and visited the Redmond Barry Reading Room and Herald Weekly Times Newspaper Room. The Governor also met with State Library Victoria conservationists, curators and staff.  

In the afternoon, the Governor hosted an afternoon tea for the Victorian recipients and alumni of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australia Awards, where she gave an address to congratulate the 2024 scholars on the completion of their studies.

In the morning at Government House, members of a delegation of Congressional Staff from the United States of America visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments. 

Later, members of the public visited for a guided tour of the State Apartments with the National Trust.

The Governor, Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, visited Bishopscourt, East Melbourne, where she met with The Most Reverend Dr Philip Freier, Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne and Joy Freier OAM. Following the meeting, the Governor toured  the historic Bishopscourt homestead.   

In the afternoon, the Governor received the call of Emeritus Professor Dennis Altman AM, Vice-Chancellor's Fellow, La Trobe University.
