The Governor and Judge Howard attended the Melbourne International Film Festival Centrepiece Gala at the Comedy Theatre.
The Governor received the call of Mr Jeff Pope APM, Australian Electoral Officer; and accompanied by Judge Howard toured the AgriBio and Sports Precinct at Latrobe University.
The Governor received the call of the Hon. Matthew Guy, Leader of the Opposition; and the call of HE Kyoung-ha Woo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea. The Governor hosted a Panel Discussion and reception to celebrate trail-blazing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women. Later, the Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, visited the Jurassic World Exhibition at the Melbourne Museum; and attended the Melbourne Accelerator Program Gala Dinner.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and as Patron in Chief hosted a luncheon for the Pinnacle Foundation. In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended a dinner hosted by Ms Keiko Haneda, Consul-General for Japan.
Judge Howard visited the Lighthouse Foundation Youth Resource Centre in Richmond. In the evening the Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended the Royal Victoria Regiment Association Battle of Pozières Centenary Dinner.
The Governor hosted a roundtable meeting of women theologians. In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, attended the opening night of the Melbourne International Film Festival.
The Governor and Judge Howard hosted the Jiangsu Sister Schools Welcome Reception.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and accompanied by Judge Howard attended and delivered a speech at the Lions Eye Donation Service 25th Anniversary. In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, delivered the 21st Maurice Blackburn Oration.
The Governor received the call of Tim Leslie, Founding President of Open House Melbourne and presided at the swearing in ceremony of Judge Maree Kennedy as Justice of the Supreme Court. Judge Howard, as Patron, hosted the 2016 Australian Red Cross Awards.
The Governor and Judge Howard attended the opening night performance of Funny Girl at the State Theatre.
