The Governor and Judge Howard participated in the Wyndham Relay for Life at Werribee.
The Governor presided at an Investiture for the Australia Day 2016 Honours and Awards; and also presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

The Governor accompanied by Judge Howard, attended the Melbourne Victory vs Brisbane Roar match at AAMI Park.
The Governor, as Patron, opened Judging For The People: Honouring 175 Years of the Supreme Court of Victoria at the Royal Historical Society of Victoria.
The Governor received the Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiry Chair, the Hon. Bernard Teague AO, and Prof. John Catford Board Member, who delivered the final part of the report. Her Excellency then received Mr Eddie Micallef, Chairperson, and Dr Irene Bouzo, Executive Officer of Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria; and later, Adrian Collette AM, Vice-Principal (Education), University of Melbourne. In the evening, the Governor, as Patron-in-Chief, hosted a reception to recognise the 30th anniversary of the Burnet Institute.
The Governor toured the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct in Parkville; and later recorded a video interview with students from RMIT.
